I founded the Atelier Grögler a furniture and object design and construction workshop in Hausen, near Nuremberg, in 1986. Since then, I have taken part in numerous exhibitions related to fine and applied arts and started boat-building in 2000. The first boat types were baidarkas and Lake Caddo Bateaus, followed by Canadian canoes and Greenland kayaks. My fields of activity include organising and directing boat-building courses, single piece completion and free creation around boat-building. From the autumn of 2006 until the spring of 2007 I did kayak-building within the context of an exhibition in a Zurich museum.
